Delhi: 23 IAS Officers Transferred in Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle, Pandurang K Pole Made Secretary, Higher Education & TTE

In a significant administrative move, the Rekha Gupta led Delhi Government has implemented a major reshuffle involving 23 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.

The Services Department issued Order No. 222 on June 16, 2025, detailing the transfers and postings of these officers across various departments.

Key Appointments and Transfers

Ms. Dilraj Kaur (IAS: 2000, AGMUT Cadre): Appointed as Principal Secretary (General Administration Department), with additional charges of Principal Secretary (Social Welfare) and Principal Secretary (SC/ST/OBC Welfare).

Ms. Nandini Paliwal (IAS: 2003, AGMUT Cadre): Transferred from Secretary (Higher Education & Technical Education) and Managing Director (Delhi Co-operative Housing Finance Corporation) to Commissioner (Trade & Taxes).

Neeraj Semwal (IAS: 2003, AGMUT Cadre): Retains position as Secretary (Revenue)-cum-Divisional Commissioner and assumes additional charge as Secretary (Land & Building).

2007 batch IAS officer Rashmi Singh, who was also awaiting a posting, has been given charge of the WCD Department as Secretary with additional charges of DCW.

The reshuffle also includes several other officers being assigned new roles across various departments, aiming to enhance administrative efficiency and governance in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Strategic Objectives of the Reshuffle

This extensive reshuffle is part of the Delhi Government’s strategy to streamline administrative processes and ensure effective delivery of public services. By placing experienced officers in key positions, the government aims to address pressing issues in sectors such as education, social welfare, revenue management, and urban development.
