Maiden River Cruise Service on Yamuna

Delhi will also witness the launch of its first-ever river cruise service along the Yamuna. The hour-long leisure cruise will operate between Sonia Vihar and Jagatpur, offering scenic views of the city skyline and iconic landmarks. Officials said the initiative aims to boost tourism and provide a unique recreational experience for residents and visitors.

Smart Travel Cards and Citizen-Friendly Initiatives

Alongside transport and tourism projects, the government will introduce a unified “one card” travel system for commuters, streamlining access to public transport services. A range of other initiatives across healthcare, education, and citizen services are also planned to reinforce the government’s people-focused governance.

Focus on Health, Education, and Tourism

The government has indicated that new healthcare centres, educational improvements, and tourism promotion projects will also be unveiled during the celebrations. These measures are expected to improve service delivery, strengthen urban infrastructure, and enhance Delhi’s position as a modern and progressive capital.

About Delhi Government’s Vision

The first anniversary celebrations reflect the Delhi government’s ongoing commitment to sustainable urban development, citizen convenience, and tourism promotion. Through initiatives like electric buses, river cruises, and smart travel cards, the administration aims to build a greener, more connected, and forward-looking capital.
