CM Rekha Gupta Launches Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Portal, Eligible Women to Receive ₹2,500 Monthly

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday launched the online portal for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, enabling eligible women to apply for monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500. The portal was inaugurated during an event held at the District Magistrate (DM) Office in East Delhi.

The Delhi government aims to benefit more than 17 lakh women under the scheme. Applications have officially opened, and the government plans to release the first instalment on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, subject to successful verification of applicants.

Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Portal Goes Live

With the launch of the online portal, eligible women can now submit applications for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana.

The key objectives of the scheme are:

  • Provide monthly financial assistance to eligible women.
  • Strengthen women’s financial independence.
  • Ensure transparent and digital delivery of welfare benefits.
  • Promote economic empowerment and self-reliance.

The government has made the application process fully online to simplify registration and improve transparency.

Eligible Women to Receive ₹2,500 Every Month

Under the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, eligible women will receive:

  • Benefits after successful verification of eligibility.
  • Payments through a transparent and streamlined process.

The Delhi government expects the scheme to cover over 17 lakh women across the national capital.

The Delhi government has made a significant budgetary allocation for the implementation of the scheme.

The allocation reflects the government’s commitment to expanding social welfare programmes for women.

CM Rekha Gupta Highlights Women’s Economic Empowerment

Speaking at the launch event, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the Delhi government is fully committed to strengthening the economic empowerment of women.

She said the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana is not merely a financial assistance programme but an initiative aimed at enhancing:

  • Women’s dignity.
  • Self-confidence.
  • Financial independence.
  • Economic participation.

The Chief Minister added that the government wants the benefits to reach every eligible woman in a transparent manner so that they can meet their daily needs and contribute to their family’s financial stability.

Government Appeals Eligible Women to Apply

During the programme, officials explained the online application process and encouraged eligible women to register through the newly launched portal.

The government appealed to all eligible beneficiaries to complete their applications at the earliest to ensure timely verification and inclusion under the scheme.

The event was attended by public representatives, including MLA and District Development Committee Chairman Anil Goyal, MLA Sanjay Goyal, MLA Om Prakash Sharma, along with senior government officials.

The launch of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana marks a significant step in the Delhi government’s efforts to promote women’s financial security and social empowerment. With a ₹5,110 crore budget, the scheme aims to provide ₹2,500 per month to more than 17 lakh eligible women, helping improve their financial independence through a transparent, digital and beneficiary-focused welfare system.
