On May 22nd, the Election Commission of India (ECI) mandated Mr. Nilabh Kishore (1998-batch IPS officer), the incumbent DGP STF Punjab, Shahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, to assume office as the Police Commissioner (CP) of Ludhiana. As per the ECI order, Officer Kishore replaced Mr. Kuldeep Chahal (2009-batch IPS officer) as the Ludhiana CP, as the latter was given non-election duty.
