Hyderabad: Dr. Anesh Kumar Sharma, Outstanding Scientist and Director (Technical) at Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), has been conferred the ELCINA Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Strategic Electronics & Critical Infrastructure for 2024–25.

This prestigious award is the highest individual honor bestowed by ELCINA, the Electronic Industries Association of India, recognizing Dr. Sharma’s exceptional service in strengthening India’s strategic electronics, defence technology, and critical national infrastructure.

Driving Force Behind India’s Strategic Technology Initiatives

With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years, Dr. Sharma has played a pivotal role in indigenous technology development, secure communication systems, and electronics manufacturing across vital sectors including:

  • Nuclear
  • Defence
  • Aerospace
  • Homeland Security
  • E-Governance

His involvement in major national programs such as the Naval Anti-Ship Missile – Short Range (NASM–SR) and the Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) has directly contributed to India’s defence preparedness and technological autonomy.
