New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited Director (HR) Ayush Gupta has been conferred the “Visionary Award for Strategic Human Capital Leadership” at the CHRO Leadership Summit & Awards 2026 organised by Amity International Business School, Amity University.
The award recognises Gupta’s contribution to advancing strategic and people-centric human resource practices at GAIL India.

The Visionary Award acknowledges Ayush Gupta’s efforts towards strengthening strategic human capital management and promoting people-centric approaches within the organisation.

GAIL Director (HR) Shares Insights on AI and Human Potential
Ayush Gupta also participated as a distinguished panellist in a session titled “People, Purpose & Possibilities: Reimagining Human Capital in the Age of AI.”
During the panel discussion, he spoke about the changing relationship between artificial intelligence, technology and human potential.
He highlighted that AI can significantly support:
- Productivity enhancement
- Decision-making
- Managing large volumes of information
- Improving organisational efficiency
However, he emphasised that several areas will continue to require human involvement, including contextual understanding, ethical considerations, risk management and navigating complex data.
Ayush Gupta Emphasises Continuous Learning
Gupta also highlighted the importance of maintaining independent thinking in an increasingly AI-driven environment.
Drawing an analogy with an unused muscle gradually becoming weaker, he observed that excessive dependence on AI without actively engaging the mind through learning and reflection could affect independent thinking and the ability to create meaningful value.
He encouraged students and young professionals to develop habits that strengthen their intellectual capabilities.
