New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited has launched the second season of its consumer awareness campaign, ‘Wah Kya Energy Hai’, aimed at promoting cleaner and more sustainable energy choices among consumers across India.
The campaign includes four short-format films released on GAIL’s official YouTube channel, along with a new campaign anthem titled ‘Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy’. Through relatable storytelling, humour and everyday situations, GAIL is encouraging consumers to consider cleaner fuel options such as CNG, PNG, LNG and CBG.
The campaign has a special focus on Gen Z, recognising the growing influence of young consumers in shaping consumption patterns and supporting the transition towards a cleaner energy future.
GAIL’s Wah Kya Energy Hai Season 2 Focuses on Cleaner Fuels
Season 2 builds on GAIL’s efforts to strengthen direct consumer engagement and create greater awareness about the accessibility and benefits of cleaner energy.
The campaign highlights the use of cleaner fuels across several applications, including:
- Domestic PNG (D-PNG) for household needs
- Commercial PNG (C-PNG) for businesses
- CNG for cleaner mobility
- Industrial PNG (IPNG) for industrial applications
- LNG for transport and commercial requirements
- CBG as an emerging cleaner fuel option
The films aim to show consumers how these energy solutions can become part of everyday life as well as commercial and industrial activities.

Four Short Films Follow the Mishra Family
The second season takes viewers deeper into the lives of the Mishra family, using familiar situations to communicate the benefits of cleaner energy choices.
The four films cover everyday experiences ranging from a short trip to Varanasi and a boat ride to family celebrations, visits to relatives and an event at Senior Mishra’s factory.
Each episode uses a relatable situation to present a reason for choosing cleaner fuels. The campaign combines humour, tongue-in-cheek storytelling and practical use cases to encourage viewers to think about their own energy choices.
Each film has a runtime of approximately 8–10 minutes and is available on GAIL’s official YouTube channel.
GAIL Unveils ‘Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy’ Anthem
Alongside the four films, GAIL has released the campaign anthem ‘Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy’, which has a runtime of more than four minutes.
The anthem showcases GAIL’s energy infrastructure and innovative solutions, including India’s first floating CNG station in Varanasi and newer offerings such as Compressed Biogas (CBG).
The video features people from different age groups, regions and backgrounds. It includes children, young adults, senior citizens and members of the defence forces, highlighting how conscious everyday choices and smarter fuel options can contribute to reducing carbon footprints.
The anthem is being distributed through major music-streaming platforms, including Spotify, Amazon Music, Gaana and JioSaavn.
Campaign Targets Gen Z and Wider Consumer Base
A key focus of Season 2 is connecting with Gen Z, which GAIL sees as an important consumer group and a potential catalyst for the energy transition.

According to Ayush Gupta, Director (HR), GAIL, who also leads Corporate Communications & Branding, the campaign aims to create greater awareness about clean energy choices and environmental responsibility through logical, grounded and relatable storytelling.
He highlighted the role of youth in the energy transition and said the campaign seeks to encourage consumers to make smarter and future-ready fuel choices.
The campaign also showcases the wider range of GAIL’s clean energy ecosystem. This includes CNG and PNG for mobility and household applications, as well as Transport LNG and Commercial and Industrial PNG for industrial and commercial requirements.
The campaign also features GAIL Utkarsh, the company’s CSR initiative supporting meritorious students from underprivileged communities, along with the floating CNG stations in Varanasi.

The four short films feature actors Srikant Verma, Divya Jagdale, Luv Vispute and Ahmed Khan.
