Mumbai: GAIL (India) Limited has received four prestigious awards recognising its performance in pipeline transportation and Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE). The awards were presented on the occasion of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB)’s 20th Foundation Day on October 1, 2026.
The awards recognise GAIL’s performance across different categories of natural gas and LPG pipeline operations, including operational excellence, safety and pipeline integrity management.
GAIL Wins Gas Transporter of the Year Awards
GAIL received two awards under the Gas Transporter of the Year category based on pipeline operational length.
- Operational Length Above 1,000 km: Dabhol Bengaluru Natural Gas Pipeline (DBPL) – 1,182 km
- Operational Length Up to 1,000 km: Mumbai Regional Natural Gas Pipeline – 125 km
The Dabhol Bengaluru Natural Gas Pipeline (DBPL) was recognised as Gas Transporter of the Year in the Operational Length Above 1,000 km category.
Meanwhile, GAIL’s Mumbai Regional Natural Gas Pipeline received the award in the Operational Length Up to 1,000 km category.

GAIL Receives Two HSSE Excellence Awards
GAIL also secured two awards for HSSE Excellence, highlighting its focus on safety and pipeline integrity.
- HSSE Excellence – Pipeline Above 1,000 km: Jagdishpur Haldia Bokaro Dhamra Natural Gas Pipeline (JHBDPL) – 3,340 km
- HSSE Excellence – LPG Pipeline: Jamnagar Loni Pipeline (JLPL) – 1,427 km
The recognitions highlight the company’s focus on maintaining safety standards and ensuring reliable pipeline operations.
