Nava Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday attended the oath-taking ceremony of Ganesh Shankar Mishra, the newly appointed Vice-Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Policy Commission, at Niti Bhavan, Nava Raipur. The Chief Minister congratulated Mishra and wished him success in his new role, emphasizing the important role of the commission in shaping the state’s long-term development vision.
State Policy Commission to Play Key Role in Long-Term Development
CM Sai highlighted that the State Policy Commission will act as a pivotal institution in driving Chhattisgarh’s growth through evidence-based policy making and enhanced coordination between departments. He added that the commission will play a crucial role in framing policies and strategies that address the future needs and challenges of the state.
“The commission will provide new direction and momentum to Chhattisgarh’s development, ensuring that policies are aligned with both current and long-term priorities,” the Chief Minister said.

Aligned with Developed India 2047 Vision
CM Sai also noted that the country is rapidly moving towards the Developed India 2047 goal under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In alignment with this vision, Chhattisgarh has prepared the Chhattisgarh Vision Document 2047, providing a roadmap for the state’s holistic and long-term development.
He praised the formation of NITI Aayog by the Prime Minister as a forward-looking step, highlighting its role in programs like Aspirational Districts, which have had a significant impact on backward regions, including Chhattisgarh’s aspirational districts.
Evidence-Based Policy for Real Needs
The Chief Minister emphasized that the commission’s policies are formulated based on real needs of regions, ensuring practical and effective governance. CM Sai said that the State Policy Commission will play a major role in defining the development direction of Chhattisgarh, complementing the government’s efforts to promote good governance, transparency, and citizen participation.
He expressed confidence that Ganesh Shankar Mishra’s administrative experience will bring new energy and direction to the commission, and that the government will seriously consider and implement the commission’s recommendations.
Collaborative Approach to Development
Speaking at the event, Vice-Chairman Ganesh Shankar Mishra said that under CM Sai’s leadership, the state is moving steadily on the path of development. He assured that the commission will work collaboratively to frame better and future-oriented policies to make Chhattisgarh more prosperous and developed.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MLA Lata Usendi, members of the State Policy Commission including Dr. K. Subrahmanyam, Member Secretary Ashish Bhatt, Secretary Bhuvanesh Yadav, and other senior officials.
