Uttarakhand SC Students Get Free UPSC-PCS Coaching at Garhwal University, Apply by September 27

Dehradun: Garhwal Central University has announced a free coaching opportunity for Scheduled Caste (SC) students preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and State Public Service Commission examinations.

The university has started the online application process for coaching conducted under the Dr Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE). Eligible candidates can apply online until September 27, while the selection examination for admission to the programme will be held on October 1.

The initiative is aimed at providing competitive examination preparation support to SC candidates from Uttarakhand, particularly those who may face financial barriers in accessing private coaching.

Free Coaching for UPSC and State PSC Exams

Under the DACE initiative, selected candidates will receive free coaching for competitive examinations.

The programme will cover preparation for:

  • UPSC Civil Services Examination
  • State Public Service Commission examinations
  • Competitive examination-oriented guidance and preparation
  • Study material and expert academic support

The initiative is expected to provide candidates with structured preparation and access to guidance that can help them prepare for competitive examinations.

Who Can Apply for the Free Coaching?

The free coaching programme is open to SC candidates from Uttarakhand who meet the prescribed educational eligibility criteria.

Candidates who have already completed their graduation can apply.

Students who are currently studying in the final year or final semester of graduation are also eligible to apply.

The university has started the online application process for admission to the DACE coaching programme.

Interested and eligible candidates must complete their applications by September 27.

Applicants are advised to submit their forms before the deadline and ensure that the required information is correctly provided during the application process.

Selection Test to Be Held on October 1

Admission to the free coaching programme will be based on a selection process.

According to Prof. M.M. Semwal, Coordinator of DACE and Nodal Officer of the scheme, candidates will first have to appear for the selection examination.

The selection test is scheduled for October 1.

Candidates seeking admission to the free coaching programme will therefore need to complete their online application before September 27 and subsequently appear for the examination as part of the selection process.

DACE Initiative Aims to Support SC Aspirants

Preparation for UPSC Civil Services and State PSC examinations often requires significant time, study resources and financial investment. Private coaching programmes can also involve substantial fees, creating an additional challenge for students from financially constrained backgrounds.
