Patna: Bihar Tourism has announced the ‘Pitru Paksha Mela Ek Influencer Ki Nazar Se’ competition, giving content creators and the public an opportunity to showcase Gaya’s religious faith, cultural heritage and tourism through digital content.
Entries can be submitted until 5 PM on October 11. The first-place winner will receive ₹3 lakh.
What Participants Can Show
Participants can creatively capture different aspects of the Pitru Paksha Mela, including:
- Pinddaan, Tarpan And Shraddha Traditions
- Religious And Historical Sites Of Gaya
- Local Culture, Food And Lifestyle
- Tourism And Personal Experiences From Gaya
The Tourism Department aims to promote digital content that can take Gaya’s religious and cultural identity to audiences across India and abroad.
Who Can Participate?
Content creators, bloggers, travel influencers, photographers, videographers and reel makers can participate. General public can also take part, provided they have at least 25,000 followers on any one social media platform.
Participants can submit content in the form of videos, reels, photographs or blogs.
₹8.25 Lakh Prize Pool
A total of 10 winners will be selected:
- First Prize: ₹3 lakh
- Second Prize: ₹2 lakh
- Third Prize: ₹1 lakh
- Fourth Prize: Two winners will receive ₹50,000 each
- Appreciation Prizes: Five winners will receive ₹25,000 each
The total prize money is ₹8.25 lakh.
The competition offers creators an opportunity to combine storytelling with tourism promotion while presenting the spiritual and cultural significance of Gaya to a wider digital audience.
