Linking Uttarakhand’s Growth with Viksit Bharat @2047

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that enlightened citizens are the torchbearers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047.” He highlighted that under the leadership of PM Modi, India is moving ahead with the mantra of reform, perform, and transform, achieving milestones in infrastructure, education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and social justice.

National Programs Driving Self-Reliance

Mr. Dhami underlined that flagship initiatives such as Startup India, Make in India, Vocal for Local, Digital India, and Skill India have created an ecosystem of innovation and self-reliance. He stated that India now has the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with entrepreneurs making a global mark. Digital India has empowered ordinary citizens, making technology accessible to all, while Atmanirbhar Bharat has laid the foundation for industrial and manufacturing growth.

India’s Rising Global Position

The Chief Minister said that India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy and continues to emerge as a global power across sectors ranging from defence and science to space exploration and modern infrastructure. He remarked that India’s GDP growth of 7.8% in the first quarter surpassed Reserve Bank of India and IMF projections, reaffirming India’s status as the fastest-growing major economy.

Fiscal Reforms and Relief Measures

Mr. Dhami expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman for the recent reduction in GST rates, which has provided relief to businesses and common citizens. He stressed that such fiscal measures support both economic activity and people’s welfare.

Uttarakhand’s Developmental Journey

Speaking about Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister said the state is achieving new milestones of growth under PM Modi’s guidance. He emphasized that infrastructure in roads, healthcare, education, and drinking water is being strengthened from cities to remote mountain villages. Simultaneously, efforts are being made to preserve and promote Uttarakhand’s rich cultural heritage, ensuring balanced progress with pride in tradition.
