Davos-Klosters: A high-level delegation from the Government of Gujarat, led by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh R. Sanghavi, is participating in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos-Klosters. This marks Gujarat’s first structured engagement at the WEF, aimed at enhancing international collaboration, attracting global investments, and advancing the state’s long-term development roadmap under the Viksit Gujarat@2047 vision.
Over 30 High-Level Meetings Held During Three-Day Summit
During the three-day summit, the Gujarat delegation conducted more than 30 meetings with global CEOs, chairpersons, investors, and representatives of multilateral institutions. These discussions focused on positioning Gujarat as a preferred investment destination across key sectors, including technology, manufacturing, clean energy, infrastructure, and logistics.
Focus on Semiconductors, Electronics, AI, and Quantum Technologies
In the semiconductors, electronics, and advanced technologies sector, the delegation met with executives from Micron Technology, Tata Electronics, SEALSQ, IonQ, Emerald AI, OpenAI, and NVIDIA. Discussions centered on:
- Semiconductor manufacturing
- Advanced electronics
- Artificial intelligence applications
- Quantum-related technologies
- Potential technology partnerships
Digital Infrastructure, Data Centres, and Emerging Technologies
The delegation engaged with Tillman Global Holdings, IBM, Johnson Controls, and Cognizant to explore opportunities in:

- AI-enabled services
These interactions aimed to strengthen Gujarat’s role as a hub for digital and emerging technologies.
Manufacturing, Infrastructure, and Industrial Expansion Talks
High-level discussions in the manufacturing and infrastructure sector were held with executives from Welspun Group, Sumitomo Group, Lulu Group International, Technip Energies, RPSG Group, TVS Group, and ArcelorMittal. Topics included:
- Industrial expansion
- Investment in infrastructure
- Strengthening the industrial ecosystem
Clean Energy and Energy Transition Initiatives
On the clean energy and energy transition front, the delegation met with leaders from Hitachi Energy, ENGIE, EDF, Topsoe, Vestas, INOX GFL Group, and Trafigura, focusing on:
- Green hydrogen projects
- Renewable energy manufacturing
- Grid modernization
- Industrial decarbonization initiatives
Port-Led Development and Supply Chain Integration
The Gujarat team held a meeting with A.P. Moller–Maersk to discuss:
- Port-led development
- Multimodal logistics
- Supply chain integration
Additionally, discussions with Linde and Air Liquide explored support for clean manufacturing and the semiconductor ecosystem.
Space Technology and Sustainable Development Collaboration
The delegation explored collaboration in space technologies and advanced materials with Marlan Spacetech. Engagements with World Bank Group and Asian Development Bank (ADB) focused on:

- Water security
- Climate resilience
- Infrastructure financing

Deputy CM Harsh R.
