On Tuesday 13, a meeting chaired by Chief Minister of Mizoram, Zoramthanga with the top officials of various departments like education, skill development, labour employment, planning, finance, etc. decided to provide a full scholarship to students who aspire to become a civil servant one day.
In the meeting, it was decided that full scholarship will be provided to those students who are promising and are capable of clearing the civil services exam. It was decided that all the expenses incurred by the students while preparing for the civil service exam and other cash incentives will be provided to them.
It was also decided that they would also conduct an entrance test to select the eligible candidates and set a maximum number of seats for the scholarship criteria.
Massive efforts are being made by the Mizoram government to help students join civil services, central services, commercial banks and corporates through Mizo Youth Commission (MYC).
