New Delhi — The Ministry of Power has announced openings for three top-level positions at Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) — Chairman, Member-Secretary, and Member (Finance) — as part of a leadership restructuring effort within the organization.
Appointments will be made on a five-year deputation basis (or until superannuation) and will be processed through a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC). The final selection will require approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).

Positions Overview
1. Chairman, DVC
- Location: Kolkata
- Age Limit: 45–58 years
- Eligibility: Officers in the Level-15 pay matrix or equivalent; MBA preferred; strong experience in power, finance, or strategic management desirable
- Role: Serves as DVC’s CEO; leads policy, planning, inter-agency coordination, and high-level decision-making
- Pay Scale: As per IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance) pattern + perks
2. Member-Secretary, DVC
- Location: Kolkata
- Age Limit: 45–55 years
- Eligibility: Officers in the Level-14 pay matrix or equivalent; Postgraduate (preferably in HR/IR); senior administrative background essential
- Role: Manages administration, HR, CSR, land matters, IT systems, and supports the Board’s functioning
- Pay Scale: IDA pattern + allowances
3. Member (Finance), DVC
- Location: Kolkata
- Age Limit: 45–58 years
- Eligibility: Officers in Level-14 pay matrix or equivalent; must be a CA, CMA, or MBA in Finance; senior experience in commercial finance is a must
- Role: Heads DVC’s finance and accounts; oversees resource planning, audits, budgeting, and financial strategies
