GRSE Pays ₹147.77 Crore Interim Dividend for FY26; Government Gets ₹110.09 Crore

New Delhi/Kolkata: Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd., a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has paid an interim dividend of ₹147.77 crore to its shareholders for FY2025-26.

Of the total dividend, the Government of India’s share stood at ₹110.09 crore. GRSE Chairman and Managing Director Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd) handed over the dividend cheque to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on September 1, 2026.

The event was attended by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Defence Production Secretary Sanjeev Kumar and GRSE Director (Finance) Niranjan Bhalerao.

GRSE Declares ₹12.90 Interim Dividend Per Share

GRSE has declared an interim dividend of ₹12.90 per equity share of ₹10 each for FY2025-26.

This represents a significant increase from the ₹8.95 per share interim dividend paid in FY2024-25.

The total interim dividend payout for FY2025-26 stands at ₹147.77 crore, reflecting the shipbuilder’s continued focus on shareholder returns.

Government of India Receives ₹110.09 Crore Dividend Share

As the majority shareholder, the Government of India received ₹110.09 crore from GRSE’s interim dividend payout.

The cheque was formally handed over by GRSE CMD Cmde PR Hari (Retd) to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi.

The handover took place in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and GRSE.

GRSE Maintains 32-Year Dividend Track Record

GRSE has maintained a consistent record of rewarding its shareholders through regular dividend payments.

The company has paid dividends every year for the past 32 years, highlighting its sustained financial performance and commitment to shareholders.

The increase in the interim dividend from ₹8.95 per share in FY2024-25 to ₹12.90 per share in FY2025-26 further strengthens this track record.

GRSE Order Book Stands at ₹15,324 Crore

GRSE had an order book of ₹15,324 crore as of March 31, 2026, providing visibility for its future business growth.

The Kolkata-based shipbuilder is engaged in the construction of warships and other vessels for the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.
