Gujarat has been awarded the prestigious “Best State for Promotion of Aviation Ecosystem” at Wings India 2026, the biennial civil aviation conference and exhibition held at Begumpet Airport from January 28 to 31, 2026. The award was presented by Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu, highlighting the state’s efforts in advancing the aviation sector.

State Government Applauds Recognition

Confirming the achievement, Gujarat Civil Aviation Commissioner K. L. Bachani said the award reflects the state’s strong performance in strengthening aviation infrastructure and providing policy support to the sector. “The award acknowledges Gujarat’s work in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, development of aviation infrastructure, and progress in the aircraft leasing segment,” Bachani stated.

He further emphasized that the recognition aligns with Gujarat’s vision of making the aviation sector a key contributor to economic growth while improving air connectivity across the state and the country.
