Vadodara: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday held a high-level meeting with a delegation from the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in India during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) 2026 in Vadodara. The discussions focused on strengthening economic, industrial, and investment cooperation between Gujarat and Russia.

The Russian delegation was led by Zlata Antusheva, Head of Government Relations and Financial Sector at the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in India.

Talks Focus on Trade, Industry, and Financial Collaboration

According to the Gujarat government, the meeting explored multiple areas of bilateral cooperation, including:

  • Transportation and logistics development
  • Smart city projects
  • Payment systems and financial technologies
  • INR-based financial transactions
  • Collaboration with Russian companies in key sectors

The discussions also included engagement opportunities with Russian firms such as Archem in specialty chemicals and EuroChem in the fertiliser sector.

The VGRC Central Gujarat edition has identified several key focus sectors for investment and collaboration, including:

  • Auto and auto components
  • Dairy and food processing

The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) is designed to boost regional industrial growth, attract sector-specific investments, and strengthen global partnerships in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

  • Promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development
