The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Bhupendrabhai Patel, was all praises for the senior bureaucrat, Mr. Hasmukh Patel (1993 batch IPS), during a public event where the CM handed out appointment letters to 1990 candidates for successfully cracking the recruitment test for a government job.
The CM said that people laud Mr. Patel because he could get rid of irregularities in the flash of an eye and get things done with great rigour. The CM tried to uphold Mr. Patel’s image as an archetypal bureaucrat and an inspiration for budding bureaucrats across the nation.
CM Patel said, “When his (IPS Hasmukh Patel’s) name comes, irregularities go away automatically. So you all also need to do the tasks in the same fashion that it would also invoke applause. Now you are also part of the government and going to get an opportunity to serve. People should be satisfied that this Government servant would do the work.”
Mr. Hasmukh Patel is presently serving as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) in Gujarat and was placed at the helm of the recruitment board, who stopped exam paper leaks ever since he assumed office.
