Ahmedabad: In a powerful display of discipline, training, and mind-body coordination, women cadets of the Border Security Force (BSF) at Tekanpur Academy, Gwalior, have demonstrated an extraordinary skill—disassembling and reassembling rifles blindfolded in just 17 to 23 seconds. The video showcasing this feat was shared on social media by Dr. Shamsher Singh, a senior Gujarat cadre IPS officer of the 1991 batch, and currently serving as Additional Director General (ADG) of the BSF.

“Even with eyes closed…”: IPS Officer Applauds Precision and Discipline

Dr. Shamsher Singh, who is also the Director of the Tekanpur BSF Academy, praised the cadets through a post on platform X (formerly Twitter). He wrote:

Even with eyes closed, the rifle was opened and assembled in just 17-23 seconds.”

This video, originally released by the Tekanpur BSF Academy, was captioned with a powerful message:

“Nari Tum Narayani – One Minute Drill”, emphasizing the cognitive, physical, and psychomotor coordination required for such precision exercises.

The caption elaborated further:

BSF’s Elite Training Highlighted Before Passing Out Parade

The video was shared in the lead-up to the Passing Out Parade of the women cadets at the academy, scheduled for Saturday, July 19, at the Rani Laxmibai Parade Ground in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Shamsher Singh will officiate the ceremony as Chief Guest.

The Tekanpur Academy is known for producing well-trained and highly disciplined BSF personnel, and this video serves as a tribute to the rigorous training standards followed by the force, especially for its women recruits.

About Dr. Shamsher Singh: A Distinguished Career

Originally hailing from Haryana, Dr. Shamsher Singh has had a long and respected tenure in Gujarat. He has served as DGP Law & Order and headed the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Gujarat twice. Holding a PhD from IIT Delhi, he is widely recognized for implementing innovative policing methods and effective law enforcement across multiple districts in the state.

Currently posted with the BSF, Dr. Singh continues to motivate jawans and cadets, using platforms like social media to inspire and highlight their achievements.
