New Delhi: In a proud moment for Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal and Khajuraho airports, operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), have secured the top rank in AAI’s latest Customer Satisfaction Survey for the first half of 2025. They share this honour with Udaipur airport in Rajasthan.
The triad of airports achieved a perfect score of 5 out of 5, marking them as the best-performing AAI-run airports in India in terms of passenger satisfaction between January and June 2025, according to the official survey data.
The survey was conducted across 60 of AAI’s 62 airports, with feedback collected directly from travelers. Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) and Tezpur (Assam) were not part of this round of assessment. At the other end of the spectrum, Assam’s Rupsi Airport ranked lowest with a score of 2.65.
Smaller Cities, World-Class Services
The inclusion of Khajuraho Airport, located in the temple town of Chhatarpur district, among the top three, highlights how high-quality passenger experiences are now reaching smaller cities across India. Khajuraho is globally known for its UNESCO heritage temples and attracts thousands of foreign tourists annually.
“This achievement is the result of our entire team’s commitment, hard work and our continuous efforts to provide the best facilities to passengers,” said Santosh Singh, Director of Khajuraho Airport.
“We express our sincere gratitude to our staff, partner agencies, and all travelers. Their trust and cooperation made this success possible. We will continue striving to stay a step ahead of passenger expectations,” he added.
AAI’s Drive Toward Better Passenger Experience
The AAI’s Customer Satisfaction Survey evaluates airports on various parameters, including cleanliness, check-in efficiency, baggage handling, food and beverage services, security checks, infrastructure, and overall passenger experience.
The latest rankings not only reflect improved airport operations and services in tier-2 and tier-3 cities but also align with the broader vision of inclusive infrastructure development across India.
