Himachal Govt Transfers 7 IFS and 4 HPFS Officers; Rajeev Kumar Posted as Director, HP State Forest Development Corporation

The Himachal Pradesh government has transferred seven IFS and four HPFS officers with immediate effect, making key postings across territorial, wildlife and forest development divisions on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board.

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday ordered the transfer of seven Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers and four Himachal Pradesh Forest Service (HPFS) officers, effecting a significant reshuffle in the state’s Forest Department. The transfers were approved by Governor Kavinder Gupta on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board and take immediate effect.

The reshuffle includes changes in key territorial, wildlife and forest development assignments across Bilaspur, Chamba, Mandi, Kangra, Solan and Una.

Rajeev Kumar Gets Corporation Posting

Among the prominent transfers, Rajeev Kumar (IFS:2016), who was serving as Deputy Conservator of Forests (Territorial), Bilaspur, has been appointed Director (Central), Himachal Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation Ltd., Mandi.

Chaman Lal, DCF (Territorial), Anni, has been transferred as DCF (Territorial), Bilaspur, replacing Rajeev Kumar.

Key Changes Among IFS Officers

The state government has also ordered the following transfers:

  • Mane Navnath Shivaji has been shifted from DCF (Territorial), Bharmour to DCF (Wildlife), Chamba.
  • Anshul Jain, Divisional Manager, Himachal Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation, Baddi, has been appointed DCF (Territorial), Nalagarh.
  • Vasu Doegar (IFS:2018) has been transferred as DCF (Territorial), Palampur in Kangra district.
  • Sanjeev Sharma, who was serving as DCF (Territorial), Palampur, has been transferred as DCF (Territorial), Mandi.
  • Sushil Kumar (IFS:2018), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed District Project Officer (DPO), Himachal Pradesh Integrated Development Project, Una.

Four HPFS Officers Also Shifted

The government has simultaneously transferred four officers of the Himachal Pradesh Forest Service.

Kuldip Singh Jamwal (HPFS:2013), currently serving as DFL (Wildlife), Chamba, has been posted as Divisional Forest Officer (Territorial), Dalhousie.

Other HPFS transfers include:

  • Rajneesh Mahajan, DFO (Territorial), Dalhousie, has been posted as DFO, Bharmour.
  • Dharam Chand, Divisional Manager, Forest Working Division, Sawra, has been transferred as Divisional Manager, HSD, Baddi.
  • Pradeep Kumar, SDM, Forest Working Division, Solan, has been appointed DFO (Territorial), Solan.

Routine Administrative Exercise

The latest reshuffle is aimed at strengthening forest administration and ensuring effective management of territorial, wildlife and development divisions across the state. The transfer orders came into effect immediately following their approval by the Governor on the recommendation of the Civil Services Board.
