Himachal Govt Assigns Additional Charges to 5 IAS Officers; Shubh Karan Singh Gets Director of Energy Charge

The Himachal Pradesh government has assigned additional charges to five IAS officers, reallocating key administrative portfolios across energy, tourism, industries, transport and digital governance with immediate effect.

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has assigned additional charges to five Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, reallocating key administrative responsibilities across several departments with immediate effect. The orders, issued by Governor Kavinder Gupta, will remain in force until further orders.

The reshuffle covers important sectors including industries, tourism, energy, transport and digital governance, with the officers continuing to hold their existing assignments while taking on additional responsibilities.

Five IAS Officers Get Additional Responsibilities

According to the official notification, the following officers have been entrusted with additional charges:

  • Aditya Negi (IAS:2013:HP), Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB), Shimla, has been given the additional charge of Director of Industries, Shimla.
  • Kamal Kant Saroch (IAS:2013:HP), Chief Executive Officer, HIMURJA, has been assigned the additional charge of Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
  • Shubh Karan Singh (IAS), Special Secretary (Education), will additionally serve as Director of Energy.
  • Shivam Pratap Singh (IAS), Director, Youth Services and Sports, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC).
  • Abhishek Verma (IAS), Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh MILKFED, has been given the additional charge of Director of Digital Technologies and Governance, Shimla.

Order Effective Immediately

The Governor’s order states that the additional charge arrangements have come into effect immediately and will continue until further orders.

The move is aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of key departments by entrusting senior officers with additional administrative responsibilities.
