New Delhi: In a major move to strengthen industry–academia cooperation in India, Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Central University of South Bihar on 24 June 2026. The partnership is aimed at enhancing collaboration in research, innovation, internships, and skill development for students.
Focus on Research, Innovation and Skill Development
The MoU is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, particularly in the mining, metallurgy, and natural resources sectors. Under this collaboration, both institutions will work together to:
- Promote joint research and innovation-driven projects
- Offer internship opportunities for students
- Develop skill enhancement and training programs
- Encourage knowledge exchange between industry experts and academia
The initiative is expected to provide students with stronger practical exposure and help them understand real-world industrial challenges more effectively.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by senior leadership from both sides.
From Hindustan Copper Limited, the key officials present included:

From the academic side, Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of South Bihar, along with other dignitaries, was present during the signing ceremony.
