IAS officer Ashwini Bhide (1995 batch) has been appointed as the principal secretary to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. She will continue serving as the Managing Director of the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation until further orders, as per a directive from the General Administration Department.
Officer Bhide succeeds Mr. Brijesh Singh (1996-batch IPS officer) in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). Meanwhile, Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi (2001-batch IAS officer), who previously served as secretary to Fadnavis during his tenure as deputy chief minister, has also been transferred to the CMO in the role of secretary.
