Patna: The Bihar government has issued a major administrative reshuffle, transferring five senior IAS officers and assigning additional responsibilities to several others. The General Administration Department released the official notification detailing the changes.

Mihir Kumar Singh Becomes New Development Commissioner

Mihir Kumar Singh, a 1993-batch IAS officer, has been appointed the new Development Commissioner of Bihar, a post vacant since the retirement of S. Siddharth.

He was previously serving as Additional Chief Secretary of the Transport Department and also held the charge of the Industries Department.

CK Anil Appointed Principal Secretary, Revenue & Land Reforms

Senior IAS officer CK Anil (1991 batch), who earlier served in the Bihar State Planning Council, has now been posted as the Principal Secretary of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department.
He replaces the outgoing official and brings years of experience from his advisory role in the State Planning Board.

Deepak Kumar Singh Takes Charge as DG, General Administration

Deepak Kumar Singh, a 1992-batch IAS officer and former Additional Chief Secretary in the Rural Works Department, has been appointed Director General (Investigation Commissioner) in the General Administration Department.

His role will now involve overseeing key administrative and investigative responsibilities.

Kundan Kumar Returns to Bihar, Joins as Secretary of Industries

Kundan Kumar, a 2004-batch IAS officer, has been recalled from Bihar Bhawan in New Delhi and appointed Secretary of the Industries Department.

He will also carry additional charges, including responsibilities related to Bihar Bhawan, BIADA, and Investment Commissioner Mumbai.

Sanjay Kumar Singh Gets Additional Responsibility

Sanjay Kumar Singh, a 2007-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department.

In addition to this, he will serve as Special Officer of the Home Department, expanding his administrative responsibilities.

Kaushal Kishore Assigned Charge of Two Divisions

Kaushal Kishore (2010 batch), currently serving as Commissioner of Darbhanga Division, has also been given additional charge of Tirhut Division, Muzaffarpur until further orders.

Raj Kumar Transferred to Transport Department

Raj Kumar, previously posted in Muzaffarpur, has now been appointed Secretary of the Transport Department, replacing the previous officer who has moved to another role.

Additional Departmental Changes

Water Resources Department Secretary B. Karthikeya Dhanji has been relieved of the additional charge of Industries.

This reshuffle aims to streamline departmental responsibilities and strengthen administrative functioning across the state.
