The proposal of the Election Commission of India to extend the central deputation tenure of Manoj Kumar, an IAS officer of the UT cadre 2006 batch, as the Deputy Election Commissioner (DEC) of the Election Commission of India has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
The extension will last for one year beyond December 16, 2023, or until further orders, whichever comes first.
