2012 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, Ms. Yashu Rustagi, has been named as the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), with her appointment extending over a span of four years.
Ms. Rustagi is currently posted as Additional Director of Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management (UPAM). Before this, she had been posted on posts like DM Shravasti and Director, State Urban Development Agency (SUDA).
She has been sent on central deputation by the Uttar Pradesh government. The state government will soon relieve her as she has to take charge in three weeks.
This decision, as conveyed in an official order released by the DoPT on 12.09.2023, has been authorized by the competent authority. Ms. Rustagi’s appointment falls under the central staffing scheme and is effective for a duration of four years, commencing from the date of assuming the position or until further directives are issued, whichever comes first.
