Shortly after Jharkhand’s former Chief Minister Hemant Soren relinquished his office, the state’s new CM Champai Soren (also from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) swore himself into the CMO and appointed senior bureaucrat Vikas Kumar Chaubey, an IAS officer of 1999 batch, as his Principal Secretary.
The officer got bestowed with the critical responsibility of efficably executing the official works while the state withers through a political tempest.
It is noteworthy that a day after Hemant Soren resigned as Chief Minister of Jharkhand, senior IAS officer said that he has given up the charge of Principal Secretary to the CM. But now, he has got the position again.
