1985 batch retired IAS officer Pradeep Singh Kharola has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA). The Modi government has ordered his appointment for a period of three years. He was Karnataka cadre IAS officer.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Kharola to the post in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India on contract basis for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
