Kolkata: In a recent administrative reshuffle, 1990 batch senior IAS officer Subrata Biswas has been appointed as the Senior Special Secretary in the Agriculture Department of West Bengal. Biswas, who was previously serving as the Special Commissioner of Revenue and Special Excise Commissioner (Enforcement) at the Excise Directorate Headquarters, will now take on his new responsibilities in the state’s Agriculture Department.
Additionally, Sima Sarkar, an IAS officer of the 2012 batch (West Bengal cadre), who was serving as the Additional Commissioner of Revenue in the Commercial Taxes Directorate Headquarters (Information Systems Division), has also been appointed as Senior Special Secretary in the Agriculture Department.
These appointments are part of ongoing efforts to enhance governance and strengthen key sectors in the state.
