IFS Harsh Kumar Jain has recently been appointed the Ambassador of India to the Federated States of Micronesia. Diplomat Jain, a 1993-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is presently serving as the Indian Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Micronesia is a region in the western Pacific Ocean, consisting of thousands of small islands known for their rich cultural diversity and stunning natural beauty. It encompasses several independent countries and territories, each with unique traditions and languages.
In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “Shri Harsh Kumar Jain (IFS:1993), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Philippines, has been concurrently accredited as the Ambassador of India to the Federated States of Micronesia, with residence in Manila. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.“
