New Delhi: Indraprastha Gas Limited has appointed Ajai Tyagi as the new Head of Business Development & Corporate Strategy, effective Monday, June 1. The appointment comes following the superannuation of Sanjeev Kumar Bhatia, who previously held the position.
Tyagi’s elevation marks a key leadership transition within the company’s strategic and business development division.
Experienced Executive with 36 Years in Engineering and Energy Sector
Ajai Tyagi brings nearly 36 years of professional experience, including a strong background in electrical engineering. He holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering and has built a long career in the energy and infrastructure sector.
Within Indraprastha Gas Limited, Tyagi has been associated since 2003 and has gained around 23 years of experience specifically in the City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector.
Previous Role as Executive Director (Project Expediting)
Before his new appointment, Tyagi served as Executive Director (Project Expediting) at the company. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing critical project execution activities and ensuring timely delivery of infrastructure initiatives.
His experience spans operations, project management, and CGD network expansion, making him well-versed in the company’s core business areas.
