New Delhi: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) has reiterated its strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fuel quality across its nationwide network of retail outlets. The statement comes amid recent concerns regarding fuel quality being circulated on social media platforms.

The company assured customers that ensuring the quality of petrol and diesel supplied through its retail outlets remains one of its top priorities. IndianOil emphasized that it follows a strict quality assurance system to ensure fuel supplied to consumers meets all prescribed statutory and industry standards.

IndianOil said that its teams regularly conduct inspections, surprise checks, and scientific testing as part of a comprehensive fuel quality monitoring system.

Over the past week, the company carried out:

  • Nearly 10,000 surprise inspections across its retail outlets.
  • More than 8,500 quality tests to verify fuel standards.
  • Deployment of hundreds of special inspection teams to independently check compliance with quality norms.

These measures are aimed at ensuring customers receive high-quality fuel that meets all regulatory requirements.
