In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has entrusted the charge of DIG, Administration to Alka Meena, an IPS officer of 2010 batch. Along with her new role, she will also hold the additional responsibility of DIG, Personnel.
Ms Meena is now set to oversee administrative functions while managing personnel-related matters within the state’s police force.
She has served as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in several districts of Punjab, Kapurthala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Malerkotla, Nawanshahr and Barnala.
In 2021, Ms Meena was featured in the “50 Popular Police Captains” list by the Fame India Magazine- Asia Post Survey.
