1994 batch IPS officer IPS officer Manoj Abraham has been promoted to the rank of Director General (DG), Fire and Rescue Services in Kerala, following the retirement of K. Padmakumar on April 30, 2025.
Upon promotion, he has been posted as Director General, Fire and Rescue Services.
The position of DG has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the cadre post of Director, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Manoj Abraham (Kerala cadre), is currently serving as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Law and Order. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served as Commissioner of Police in both Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi cities.
An accomplished academic, Manoj Abraham holds an MBA from Osmania University and a Master’s in Economics from the Central University of Hyderabad. He is also recognized as a cybersecurity specialist.
