Bihar: Major IPS Resuffle, Shivdeep Lande Made IGP, Purnia

Days after being appointed the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Bihar, IPS Alok Raj (1989 batch) has orchestrated a major reshuffle in the state police force by transferring several IPS officers. Of the 14 IPS transferees, five are IGs, seven are DIGs and two are SPs.

The IPS Transferees Are:

  • Mr. Shivdeep Waman Rao Lande (2006 batch), posted as Inspector General of Police in the Tirhut area, Muzaffarpur, has been given the responsibility of Purnia. 
  • Mr. Rakesh Rathi (2002 batch), posted as Inspector General of Police in Patna, has been given the responsibility of Inspector General of Police (Training) Patna. 
  • Mr. Rajesh Kumar (2003 batch), presently posted as Inspector General of Police Training, will now take over the responsibility of Inspector General of Police Darbhanga in the Mithila area.
  • Mr. Vinay Kumar (2004 batch), last posted as Inspector General of Police (Security), has been given the responsibility of Inspector General of Police Headquarters Patna. He will also hold the additional charge of Inspector General of Police (Security).
  • Mr. Pankaj Kumar Raj (2006 batch) will take over the responsibility of Superintendent of Police–Assistant Director of Civil Defence. 
  • Mr. Vikas Kumar (2008 batch), last posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police in Purnia, has been given the responsibility of Deputy Inspector General of Police of the Begusarai area. 
  • Officer Baburam (2009 batch) has been given the responsibility of Deputy Inspector General of Police of Tirhut Zone in Muzaffarpur. 
  • Mr. Deepak Baranwal (2010 batch), last posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police in the State Crime Records Bureau, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Security) Special Branch. 
  • Mr. Nilesh Kumar (2010 batch), last posted in DIG (Administration), has been given the responsibility of Director General of Police of Saran area (Chhapra). 
  • Mr. Abhay Kumar Lal (2010 batch), last posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Security) in Special Branch, has been given the responsibility of Deputy Inspector General of Police in the State Crime Records Bureau. 
  • Mr. Rasheed Zaman (2010 batch), last posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police in Begusarai, will now take over the responsibility of Deputy Inspector General (Administration) of Patna Police. 
  • Mr. Vijay Prasad (2012 batch), last posted as Superintendent of Police–Assistant Director in Civil Defence, has been given the responsibility of Assistant Inspector General of Police training. 
  • Officer Dayashankar (2014 batch) has been given the responsibility of superintendent of police at ERSS in Patna. 
  • Officer Shaleen (2010 batch) has been given the responsibility of Inspector General of Police of Bihar Special Armed Police in Patna. He will also hold the additional charge of Inspector General of Police, Special Task Force.
