Amidst a recent development, the former Director General of Police of Uttarakhand, 1989 batch IPS officer, Mr. Ashok Kumar, has been appointed the Vice Chancellor of Sports University, Haryana.
Mr. Kumar, born and brought up in the Kurana village of Panipat, is set to assume the VC’s office from March 1, replacing Mr. S S Deswal (1984 batch IPS), who resigned from the post a year prior to his retirement.
