In a big development, 1987 batch senior IPS officer Sudhir Kumar Saxena has been appointed as the new Director-General of Police (DGP) of Madhya Pradesh. He was serving as secretary (cabinet) of the cabinet secretariat. State Home Minister Narottam Mishra confirmed the development.
Sudhir Kumar Saxena is a Madhya Pradesh cadre and a 1987 batch IPS officer. He has held an important post like IG Intelligence in Madhya Pradesh in the past. In MP, he has also served as SP in Raigarh, Chhindwara, Ratlam, Jabalpur for almost years. Thereafter, he was transferred to the police headquarters in Bhopal, where he was made DIG. After this, due to central deputation, he was appointed to the CBI in the year 2002. Later, he joined CISF as an additional director on 22 June 2018, after that on 24 December 2020, he became a special director in CISF too.
