In an administrative reshuffle in Police Department in Uttarakhand before Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Pushkar Singh Dhami led state government has transferred and posted 4 IPS officers.
2016 batch IPS officer Shweta Choubey who was Pauri Garhwal’s Senior Superintendent of Police, has been transferred to Dehradun. She has been attached to Dehradun Police Headquarters.
In place of her, Mr Lokeshwar Singh, an IPS officer of 2014 batch, has been appointed as SSP of Pauri district. Mr Singh was till now the SP of Pithoragarh district.
Chamoli’s Superintendent of Police and 219 batch IPS officer, Ms Rekha Yadav has been sent to Pithoragarh as SSP.
In place of Ms Yadav, 2019 batch IPS officer Sarvesh Panwar has been made the Superintendent of Police of Chamoli. Sarvesh Panwar was till now handling the responsibility of SP Traffic Dehradun.
