New Delhi: IRCON International Limited has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Mr. Vimal Kishor Nagar as Executive Director (Electrical) and Mr. P.V. Sreekanth as Executive Director (S&T). Both appointments are effective from August 7, 2026.
The appointments were approved by the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The company disclosed the appointments to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Both officials will be part of IRCON’s Senior Management Personnel (SMP) and have been appointed in the pay scale of ₹1,50,000–₹3,00,000 (IDA).
Vimal Kishor Nagar Appointed ED (Electrical)
Mr. Vimal Kishor Nagar has been appointed as Executive Director (Electrical). He is an experienced Electrical Engineer with more than 30 years of professional experience in business development, railway electrification and electrical infrastructure projects.
Nagar began his career as a Probationary Officer in the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE), 1993 batch. He joined IRCON on deputation in June 2021 and was subsequently absorbed into the company on April 15, 2026.
During his career, he has worked on major projects involving:
- Railways
- Metro Railways
- Extra High Tension (EHT) substations
- Transmission lines
- Solar power projects
He has also handled corporate functions including bidding and tendering, financial planning, human resource planning and risk management.

P.V. Sreekanth Appointed ED (S&T)
Mr. P.V. Sreekanth has been appointed as Executive Director (Signalling & Telecommunications). He is an IRSSE officer of the 1988 batch with more than 35 years of experience in Indian Railways and railway-related CPSEs.
Sreekanth has worked on several major infrastructure projects, including:
- CATC of Calcutta Metro
- Digital Microwave Network
- Various railway signalling works
During his tenure at RailTel, he was associated with the commissioning of major projects such as the Long-haul DWDM Network, National Knowledge Network (NKN) and a Tier-III Certified Data Centre.
He joined IRCON on permanent absorption in November 2021 and has successfully completed S&T works for:
- USBRL
- Katni-Singrauli Doubling
- Moradabad EI Project
- MCRL
Sreekanth Oversaw Major S&T Projects
Sreekanth has played an important role in several major signalling and telecommunications projects at IRCON.
He oversaw the commissioning of a record 104 stations during 2023-24. During 2024-25, he also oversaw the development of IRCON’s largest Tunnel Communication Network for the USBRL project.
His academic qualifications include:
- B.E. (ECE) from Osmania University
- M.Tech from IIT Chennai
- MBA from IGNOU
Sreekanth has also authored five technical books and has been associated with ITU Study Groups on Telecom Development and Standardization.
Appointments Strengthen IRCON’s Technical Leadership
The appointments are expected to strengthen IRCON’s technical leadership in key areas such as railway electrification, signalling and telecommunications.
Both officials have prior experience with IRCON and extensive expertise in major railway infrastructure projects. Their elevation to Executive Director positions is expected to provide continuity and strengthen the company’s project execution capabilities.
