New Delhi: The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), actively participated in the 11th International Day of Yoga celebrations held at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi. The event was organized in collaboration with MNRE, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and several other departments and CPSEs, in line with this year’s global theme: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

Senior Government Officials Grace the Occasion

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including-

  • Mr Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE
  • Ms Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs
  • Mr Sanjeev Chopra, Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution
  • Their presence underscored the government’s collective commitment to integrating traditional wellness practices with contemporary governance and policy execution.

IREDA Leadership Promotes Wellness Culture

Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, and Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance), actively participated in the yoga session alongside employees and fellow officials. Shri Das emphasized the transformative impact of yoga on physical, mental, and emotional health—especially for professionals working in high-impact sectors like renewable energy.

He encouraged the adoption of yoga as a daily wellness routine, reaffirming IREDA’s commitment not only to clean energy innovation but also to the holistic well-being of its workforce and stakeholders.

A Collective Spirit for Health and Planetary Harmony

The celebration brought together a large number of officials and employees from participating ministries and CPSEs. Through various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques, the participants promoted a spirit of mindfulness and harmony with nature. The theme “One Earth, One Health” resonated deeply with the mission of IREDA and other renewable energy stakeholders working to create a sustainable and healthier planet.

Promoting Sustainability Through Inner Balance

IREDA continues to integrate wellness and sustainability into its organizational ethos. With India pushing aggressively towards its renewable energy targets, such initiatives reinforce the belief that inner well-being and environmental stewardship go hand-in-hand.

About IREDA
