IRFC Appoints Pradeep Ahlawat and Manjula Mishra as Independent Directors for Three Years Term

The appointments are effective from August 20, 2026, following the Ministry of Railways order, strengthening IRFC’s Board with expertise in business management, corporate affairs and MSME development.

New Delhi: Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited (IRFC) has appointed Mr. Pradeep Ahlawat and Mrs. Manjula Mishra as Part-time Non-Official Independent Directors on its Board, effective August 20, 2026.

The appointments were approved by the Board of Directors through a resolution by circulation, pursuant to the Ministry of Railways order dated August 13, 2026.

Both directors have been appointed as Additional Directors designated as Non-official Independent Directors for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Pradeep Ahlawat and Manjula Mishra Join IRFC Board

The two appointments have been made in accordance with the Ministry of Railways’ directions and applicable regulatory requirements.

Appointment Details

  • Mr. Pradeep Ahlawat – Additional Director, Non-official Independent Director
  • Mrs. Manjula Mishra – Additional Director, Non-official Independent Director
  • Effective date: August 20, 2026
  • Tenure: Three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier
  • Appointing authority: Ministry of Railways
  • Ministry order date: August 13, 2026

The appointments have been disclosed by IRFC under Regulation 30 and Regulation 51(2) of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Both appointees have confirmed that they are not debarred from holding the office of director by SEBI or any other authority. They also do not hold any equity shares in IRFC.

Profile of Pradeep Ahlawat

Pradeep Ahlawat brings experience in business management and corporate affairs, along with an academic background covering finance, human rights and media.

His qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Arts from Punjab University, Chandigarh
  • Masters of Accounting from Central Queensland University, Australia
  • Masters Diploma in Human Rights, Humanitarian Law and Refugee Law from ISIL, New Delhi
  • Training in Broadcast Journalism from ISOMES, Noida

Professionally, Ahlawat has experience in business management and corporate affairs. He has served as a Director at Plutus Business Management Private Limited.

His professional background covers areas including finance, business management, public service, corporate affairs, human rights and media.

Profile of Manjula Mishra

Mrs. Manjula Mishra is an MBA in Marketing with more than 20 years of experience in business management, strategic planning and organisational leadership.

She is an MSME entrepreneur and currently serves as:

  • Promoter-Director, Holosafe Security Labels Pvt. Ltd.
  • Whole-time Director, Holosafe Packaging Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

Mishra previously served as a Member of the National Board of MSME from 2014 to 2019.

Her professional expertise includes business development, strategic planning, corporate governance, digital transformation and security solutions in the manufacturing and packaging sectors. She has also received several awards for her contribution to entrepreneurship.

Appointments to Strengthen IRFC Board

The induction of Pradeep Ahlawat and Manjula Mishra adds experience in business management, corporate affairs, finance, entrepreneurship and the MSME ecosystem to the IRFC Board. Their professional backgrounds are expected to contribute to the company’s governance and strategic decision-making as IRFC continues to support the financing requirements of the Indian Railways sector.
