Jasbir Singh Chouhan, an officer of the 1991 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), has been empanelled for promotion to the prestigious grade of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (PCIT).
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Saturday, January 18, 2025, confirming that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Mr. Chouhan’s empanelment for the panel year 2019. This promotion reflects Mr. Chouhan’s outstanding contributions and dedication to the Indian Revenue Service.
With this elevation, Mr. Chouhan will take on greater responsibilities within the Income Tax Department, further bolstering the efficiency and effectiveness of tax administration in the country.
