Jharkhand Monsoon Session to Focus on Public Welfare, Development and Good Governance

Ranchi: The Sixth (Monsoon) Session of the Sixth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly commenced in Ranchi with Chief Minister Hemant Soren warmly welcoming Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato before the House proceedings began.

The Chief Minister presented a bouquet to the Speaker and wished him a successful, dignified and meaningful conduct of the Monsoon Session. The two leaders exchanged greetings and expressed confidence that the session would focus on issues related to the state’s development and public welfare.

CM Hemant Soren Extends Best Wishes for Monsoon Session

Ahead of the commencement of the Assembly proceedings, Chief Minister Hemant Soren congratulated Speaker Rabindranath Mahato and highlighted the importance of the Legislative Assembly in strengthening democratic traditions.

He expressed hope that members would hold constructive discussions on key issues concerning the state and take effective decisions in the interest of the people.

According to the Chief Minister, the Monsoon Session is expected to deliberate on several important matters related to:

  • Public welfare.
  • Governance.
  • Policy initiatives.
  • People’s concerns.

Speaker Calls Assembly the Highest Democratic Institution

Addressing members, Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato described the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly as the highest democratic platform representing the hopes, aspirations and trust of over 3.25 crore people of the state.

He said the Assembly is not merely a law-making body but a democratic institution where the voices of the people are transformed into policies and decisions.

The Speaker stressed that every proceeding of the House should remain dedicated to:

  • Public welfare.
  • State development.
  • Good governance.
  • Democratic values.
  • Public interest.

Appeal for Constructive Debate and Parliamentary Decorum

Rabindranath Mahato urged members from all political parties to actively participate in the proceedings while maintaining parliamentary traditions and democratic values.

He appealed to legislators to ensure:

  • Positive and constructive discussions.
  • Respect for parliamentary procedures.
  • Decorum inside the House.
  • Meaningful debate on public issues.
  • Cooperative participation from all parties.

The Speaker expressed confidence that mutual dialogue and disciplined conduct would make the Monsoon Session productive and beneficial for the people of Jharkhand.

Focus on Development and Public Welfare

The Speaker called upon all members to work collectively for the overall development of Jharkhand and to engage in meaningful discussions on issues concerning:

  • Inclusive development.
  • Public welfare.
  • Good governance.
  • State progress.

He said constructive deliberations in the Assembly would further strengthen democratic institutions and help formulate policies that serve the interests of the people.

The Monsoon Session is expected to witness discussions on several important legislative and governance matters aimed at accelerating Jharkhand’s development and addressing key public concerns.
