Jharkhand Police Headquarters has released the list of 244 policemen who will receive a salary hike under the Assured Career Progression (ACP) scheme. The list includes personnel ranging from sub-inspectors to constables. The decision was taken in a selection committee meeting chaired by Director General of Police (DGP) Mr. Anurag Gupta (1990-batch IPS officer).
According to officials, the ACP scheme has been designed to provide financial benefits to personnel serving in the same post for a long time. The pay scale of eligible policemen has been revised, with improvements in their pay grade and level.
Process and Eligibility
The Police Headquarters had earlier directed all districts to send in the names of eligible policemen. After thorough review, 244 personnel were found fit for inclusion in the list. The benefits under ACP and Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) have been extended to officers based on nominations received from the Regional Selection Board.
Officials clarified that in cases where some personnel were left out or marked ineligible, district DIGs and SPs have been instructed to identify and rectify errors at the earliest. Correct nominations must then be resubmitted so that eligible policemen can receive benefits without delay.
Emphasis on Transparency
The DGP’s office has also instructed that if any irregularity or mistake is detected during the process, immediate intimation should be given to the Police Headquarters. This will allow corrective steps to be taken quickly, ensuring both transparency and timely disbursal of benefits.
