Srinagar: Manoj Sinha on Thursday interacted with six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer trainees of the 2025 batch at Lok Bhavan and encouraged them to adopt a people-first approach in public service.
The officers, currently undergoing district training in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, shared their field experiences and observations on key governance initiatives being implemented across the region.
Officer Trainees Share District Training Experiences
During the interaction, the young officers briefed the Lieutenant Governor about their district-level training experiences and insights into flagship programmes aimed at improving governance and social outcomes.
Among the initiatives discussed were:
- Block Diwas
- Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan
These programmes focus on grassroots governance, citizen engagement, and combating substance abuse across the Union Territory.
LG Urges Officers to Adopt People-First Governance
Manoj Sinha exhorted the officer trainees to work with dedication, integrity, and sensitivity toward public needs.
He encouraged them to make meaningful contributions to India’s development journey and conveyed his best wishes for successful and impactful careers in the civil services.
