Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has carried out a major reshuffle of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, transferring and posting at least 16 senior officials across key departments and public sector undertakings over two consecutive days.
Among the most significant changes, V. Arun Roy has been appointed as the new Higher Education Secretary, while S. Vijayakumar has taken over as Secretary to the Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department.
The latest orders are part of a broader administrative overhaul affecting departments such as Higher Education, Industries, Health, Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare, Tourism, Information and Public Relations, and Adi Dravidar Welfare.
