The doctor wanted to participate in the Medical Officer Direct Recruitment Examination 2026 using his new name.
Doctor Sought Permission To Apply Under His Changed Name
The petitioner approached the Rajasthan High Court because he feared that his recruitment application could be rejected due to the difference between his new name and his existing medical registration records.
He requested the court to direct the authorities to allow him to participate in the recruitment process under the name Jai Gurjar. He also sought protection against rejection or invalidation of his application because his medical registration certificate still carried his former name.
