Thiruvananthapuram/Chandigarh: Significant police leadership changes have been made in Kerala and Punjab, with IPS officers Anand R and Nilambari Vijay Jagadale being assigned to new roles in their respective states.
Anand R IPS Appointed District Police Chief, Pathanamthitta
Anand R, a 2016 batch IPS officer of Kerala cadre, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police, VIP Security, Kerala, has been transferred and appointed as the District Police Chief of Pathanamthitta.
This transfer places him at the helm of a strategically significant district in the state, especially given Pathanamthitta’s importance during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season. His experience in managing high-security assignments is expected to enhance law enforcement efficiency in the district.
Nilambari Vijay Jagadale IPS Becomes DIG – Counter Intelligence, Punjab
In another key appointment, Nilambari Vijay Jagadale, a 2005 batch IPS officer of Punjab cadre, has been transferred from her role as DIG Ludhiana Range and appointed as the DIG – Counter Intelligence, Punjab, headquartered in SAS Nagar (Mohali).
With rising challenges in border security, organized crime, and intelligence-led policing, her new posting will be pivotal in strengthening internal security frameworks. Jagadale is known for her sharp administrative acumen and extensive field experience.
